The Murder of Meredith Kercher is one of those cases that has it all: did she/didn't she? Commit murder, that is. A clash of cultures, Italian, American, British, media showing the best (and worst, sensationalism) a dignified family trying to get justice for their daughter in the face of a massive PR campaign, and all the evidence in detail you could ask for.I've read all the books on the case, both pro-innocence and guilt, as well as websites maintained by both sides of a debate that still engages, ten years later.
This is one of the really good books, dissecting the many lies of Amanda Knox. Well-sourced, it sticks to the evidence and avoids the hyperbole many advocates engage in. As the Supreme Court of Italy ruled, Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito were the authors of their own misfortune, for their conflicting alibis and in Knox's case, her false accusation of Patrick Lumumba, the Congolese bar owner she said murdered Meredith Kercher. (She still hasn't paid him the minimal compensation she was ordered to pay, and her felony conviction still stands-her appeal to the European Court notwithstanding-it cannot overturn a conviction).
Many Amanda Knox fans will have you believe she was arrested because she didn't behave appropriately. Liz Houle breaks down the many lies which caused the investigators to suspect her; more so it makes a very good case for guilt. R

If it were at all possible I would give this ebook zero stars out of 5. This is manipulation and hate at its worst!! I am not attacking the authors belief in Amanda knox guilt, but the manner that she goes about writing about the Meredith Kercher murder case. Her review of the book is not driven by a wish to give her readers a balanced view of the case, but is written due to her deep seated hatred of Amanda knox. The style and method of writing is aweful, she is more interested in talking about tiny and irrelevant tidbits, such as Amanda singing in a restaurant, than actually discussing evidence. When she does she simply repeats old disproven or nasty gossip. From the books first sentance.....`Amanda's memoir is an attempt to portray herself as a 'Hannah`, when in reality she was a 'Miley``you realise that your expectation of a professional and relevant analysis is in serious trouble, but it just gets worse the more you read. When an author is more interested assasinating someones character than talking about the victim and the evidence relevant to this case, you are left with the feeling that the main aim of this ebook is to manipulate the reader. Please do not waste your time, there are so many other books about this case.
The number of false facts - astonishing. Editors / fact checkers MIA.
Some court testimonies not very well translated from the Italian, book appears to be hurriedly slapped together from a variety of otherwise solid Internet sources, but material is nonetheless valuable and to the point.
New readers may be confused about the subject matter of the book, which is Amanda Knox who managed the astonishing feat of getting acquitted of an incredibly messy murder with multiple incriminating elements which should have left no doubt about her guilt.
Another Liz Houle defamatory book which deserves -000 stars at least! This woman spends her time writing ugly fiction about Amanda Knox. It's sad that she has this pathetic obsession with Amanda and she really needs to find a a more enriching career...or at least a better fiction topic. Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito had nothing whatsoever to do with the brutal sexual assault and murder of Meredith Kercher. Rudy Guede murdered Meredith all by himself. He didn't need any help. His forensic material was found all over Meredith's tiny bedroom and in and on her body. No forensic material belonging to either Amanda or Raffaele was found in the room. Guede will soon be released from prison after having served only 9 years of a 16 year sentence to potentially kill someone else's sister, daughter or friend. Amanda Knox and Raffaele Sollecito have been completely exonerated (i.e., the crime does not exist) from any connection to this case. In addition to her obsession, it's obvious that Liz is using this case, and Amanda Knox, to try to make a buck off of someone's else's horrific tragedy. I doubt she cares one way or the other as long as you buy her nasty book.
Self-serving, snarky book that was poorly written.
This book systematically exposes the lies of Amanda Knox. All points proven are backed up with links to trial testimony, phone records, and irrefutable facts. Houle did an extraordinary job with this analysis and I look forward to reading part 2.
Love it, this is just plain speaking explanation of facts using the witness testimony, defendant statements, phone records, and postal police reports. Cannot WAIT for part 2, if you are interested in this case and have discovered for yourself Amanda is a serial liar (her fingering Patrick alone after 1.75 hours), and her motives, her changing lies, her fabricated lies, her FOA bought and paid for PR team including her staring role in a Netflix documentary directed by FOA hacks, -this book just shows that she was correct when her first trial ended in GUILTY, A. Knox said "The system was fair." Indeed it was. I think that in the future, she'll end up further confessing her story, and this is just a no nonsense re-telling of her life in Perugia backed up by those surrounding her through testified court documents, .... Seriously can't wait for Part 2!
